iMac2020's new design and key specs have just leaked - and it's coming this month

The iMac 2020 is coming soon and may be getting a major upgrade. According to a new leak, Apple's next desktop will feature "iPad Pro design language" and AMD's Navi GPU and will be available later this month.

Tweeted this morning by Sonny Dickson (via MacRumors), Apple will unveil a new iMac at WWDC 2020 that will feature a thin "Pro display-like bezel" as well as the AMD GPU released last year. The iMac 2020 will also feature a T2 chip, signaling the end of the Fusion Drive, the hybrid storage system that has been standard in previous models.

We haven't seen many reliable visual leaks of the iMac 2020, but a mockup MacRumors created based on Dickson's information suggests that it could look more sleek than any recent computing device.

Given that the iMac's slim unibody design has remained largely unchanged since 2012, the possibility of combining the iPad Pro's modern form with the iMac's power and size is exciting.

Speaking of fusion, according to Dixon, Apple will ditch the Fusion Drive and opt for all-flash storage instead. The company also plans to use the AMD Navi graphics processor, which has been included since last year, and the T2 chip found in other newly released Macs.

The 27-inch iMac with 5K Retina display is one of the best all-in-one computers available, but if the leak is accurate, Apple could have an even better desktop PC on its hands.

We'll know more on June 22, when WWDC goes online, and we've known for sure that a new iMac was on the way ever since Jon Prosser, Apple's famed leaker, said in May that the new iMac was ready to ship. Prosser did not give specifics, but claimed that the iMac 2020 could debut "any day."
