Samsung Galaxy Note 20 release date just leaked — here's when to expect it

According to top leakers, Samsung's Galaxy Note 20 lineup will be released on August 20, less than a year after the release of the previous Galaxy Note 10 model.

This morning, Front Page Tech host Jon Prosser tweeted a list of Samsung phones to expect to be unveiled at the company's "Unpacked" virtual keynote later this summer. We've heard rumors about an August 5 event before, but Prosser's info about an August 20 release date is new.

Prosser is confident that the Galaxy Fold 2 and Galaxy Z Flip 5G models will debut at the same time as the Note 20.

Given that the Note 20 lineup will likely include two models, the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, a total of four Samsung phones will be introduced in August. the Note model is the headliner, with LTPO technology (adaptive Refresh Rate), a 120Hz screen, a large battery, 5G capabilities, and a large in-display fingerprint reader are rumored to be included.

The Fold2 is a follow-up to the original Galaxy Fold with a larger front display and improved camera, and the Z Flip 5G adds 5G connectivity to Samsung's flip phone earlier this year.

This information is largely consistent with leaked information from Ice Universe seen on Weibo over the weekend. They say the device will be released on August 5, but that probably refers to an announcement, not a launch.

Ice Universe suggests that the Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7 Plus could be announced on August 5, which would be Samsung's answer to the iPad Pro 2020 The Galaxy Tab S7 has an 11-inch display, while the Tab S7 Plus has believed to have a larger 12.4-inch panel.

And of course, the Galaxy Watch 2 (possibly called the Galaxy Watch 3) could also be unveiled at Samsung's event. This next-generation wearable is rumored to bring back the rotating bezel and improve on the original Samsung Galaxy Watch's impressive four-day battery life.

Not mentioned by either leaker, but likely to be announced soon is Samsung's upcoming wireless earbuds, the Galaxy Buds X. Assets of the Buds X have been spotted alongside the Watch 3 within the Galaxy Wearable app, so it's We'll likely see it at the end of the year.

We'll have to wait to see if Buds will be revealed at the Unpacked event or in an earlier standalone announcement, as Samsung has done before.
