What's new on HBO Max, which launched on May 27? Each month, HBO Max will roll out dozens of new movies and TV shows, just like the best other streaming services.

June 2020 will include hot new originals, the premieres and final episodes of high-profile HBO series, the first airings of classic movies on the streaming service, and recent theatrical blockbusters HBO Max originals include cult favorites like "Search Party" season 3 A new season of the cult favorite will debut in June. Starring Alia Shawkat, the dark comedy originally aired on TBS but has moved to HBO Max.

Also moving to HBO Max (but also available in the DC Universe) is Season 2 of "Doom Patrol," which continues the adventures of the DC Comics superhero team. And another show with a devoted following is also returning: Adventure Time, the first of four one-hour specials: Adventure Time: Distant Land - BMO, which sends lovable sentient robots into space.

An important reason to get HBO Max is access to HBO programming: in June, the premium cable network will debut "Perry Mason," starring Emmy Award winner Matthew Rhys (formerly of "The Americans"). He will play a famous hard-boiled criminal defense attorney in Los Angeles in 1932 who encounters a once-in-a-decade case.

Also, in honor of Pride Month, HBO Max will present HBO's documentary "Bully: Coward. Victim. The Story of Roy Cohn," "Transhood," and "Welcome to Chechnya."

Another major selling point of HBO Max is its library drawn from WarnerMedia's many brands. South Park" (yes, all 23 seasons!) is one of the most famous shows that will begin streaming in its entirety.

HBO Max's June new releases include the classic "Titanic," "Magic Mike," "When Harry Met Sally," "You've Got Mail," "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Adventure," and "The Adventures of Smaug the Hobbit."

The streaming service also includes recent hit movies, the Academy Award-nominated "Ford vs. Ferrari," "Ad Astra" starring Brad Pitt, and the horror film "Doctor Sleep."
