Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Plus leak reveals camera bump — and it's out of control

The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Plus has all the qualities that make it one of the best phones this year: a huge 6.9-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a killer 108MP camera, and an even bigger battery. In addition, the S Pen has been improved.

And now we get our first look at the final design of the Note 20 Plus. The good news is that these rendered images provided by OnLeaks (in cooperation with Pigtou) look like a very sleek design. The bad news is that the camera bump looks pretty ugly. [As reported by Android Authority, the Note 20 Plus is quite slim, measuring only 7.6 mm thick. This is even thinner than the 7.9 mm of the Galaxy Note 10 Plus. The Galaxy S20 Ultra is 8.8 mm thick, while the Galaxy S20 Plus is 7.8 mm thick.

However, if you add the protruding camera bump on the Galaxy Note 20 Plus, the thickness swells to 10.7 mm. This is a lot of extra girth for the camera. I also don't like how the outline of the three lenses reminds me of brass knuckles.

At the very least, the camera should be powerful; in addition to the 108MP sensor, we can expect a dedicated autofocus sensor. This should solve one of the Galaxy S20 Ultra's main problems, allowing it to take sharper pictures of moving subjects than competing camera phones.

In addition, the rendered image shows what appears to be a periscope lens on the camera. This reportedly allows the Note 20 Plus to offer 3x optical zoom; while the S20 Ultra's 120x space zoom is said not to be included, the Note 20 will likely offer the same 30x digital zoom as the Galaxy S20 Plus.

As for the rest of the design, the front of the Note 20 Plus is mostly screen, and the display appears almost completely flat - which is a good thing. Also, the rendering of the Note 20 Plus places the S Pen in the lower left side of the phone, a shift from the right side of the Note 10 Plus.

Overall, the Galaxy Note 20 Plus looks gorgeous, but the vertically aligned camera looks like an eyesore. Do you agree? Let us know your opinion in the comments below.
