A huge Google Chrome Update will end your tab nightmare for good

If you're like us, you often see Chrome tabs flooding your laptop or desktop display. So Google has begun introducing tab grouping into the Chrome web browser.

As the name implies, tab grouping groups Chrome tabs so that they can be treated as a single entity in the browser, making them easier to manage and navigate.Google is currently working on a Canary version of Chrome 85, with collapsible tab Groups feature is being further extended.

Chrome Canary is an experimental version of the browser for developers, whose name comes from the old coal mines where canaries were used to detect deadly gas buildup; in Chrome's case, canary builds are designed to find bugs and introduce features before a full release is designed to introduce features.

When this feature was introduced in the Chrome browser, if you wanted to group several tabs, simply right-click on a tab, select the Create New Group option from the drop-down menu, and assign a label. Then simply right-click on the other Chrome tabs and select the option to add them to an existing group.

Chrome will automatically update to Chrome 85. However, if you want to force Chrome to look for the latest version, head to "Help" from the top right menu (indicated by the three vertical dots) and click "About Chrome" from the drop-down menu, or go to this section from the full settings menu. Find, download, and install the latest version of Chrome. Otherwise, the update will be applied the next time you open Chrome.

If you have already signed up and are using Chrome Canary for Chrome 85, you will be able to group tabs as well as reduce the labels that appear on groups of tabs. If you have been using tab grouping for some time, you may have noticed that when you select tabs in a group, the label names appear in the browser's top navigation bar, squeezing space

and you may have noticed that the labels are now displayed in the browser's top navigation bar.

It may not seem like a big deal, but many people now work from home and may not have sophisticated office setups with dual screens or ultrawide monitors. Therefore, saving screen space can have a significant impact on the way they work.
