Google Pixel4a Benchmark Leaked and destroyed by iPhone SE

The Google Pixel 4a leaks seem to be unstoppable, and the latest leak provides a better picture of the phone's performance with Qualcomm's mid-tier chip.

The new leak comes courtesy of YouTube channel TechnoLike Plus, which previously leaked the Pixel 4A's photography performance, and now has put Google's next phone through its paces. This includes a series of benchmark tests and even running emulators of old Nintendo Gamecube titles on the phone.

The Pixel 4a with the Snapdragon 730 chipset scored 268,973 in the AnTuTu benchmark, beating the older Pixel 3a XL but falling far short of the 441,752 recorded by the iPhone SE. The same was also true in other benchmarks, with the Pixel 4a scoring 8,867 in the PCMark test and 6 points in GFXBechmark, which runs the Aztec Ruins OpenGL 1440p test, both lagging behind the more powerful Pixel 4 flagship.

In Geekbench 4's single-core test, the Pixel 4a scored 548 and its multi-core score was 1,628. A series of other tests also showed the Pixel 4a to be a solid performer.

It is worth noting that the tests were likely conducted on an engineering sample of the Pixel 4a, so performance may differ slightly from the final retail product.

In our tests, the iPhone SE scored 3,226 in the Geekbench 5 multi-core test and 1,337 in the single-core test. geekbech 4 and Geekbench 5 use different scoring systems, but Apple's A13 chip We know that it beats Android flagships with the Snapdragon 855 chip. In fact, in other Geekbench 4 comparisons we have seen, the A13 Bionic even beats the top-end Snapdragon 855 Plus, a more powerful chip than the Snapdragon 730.

Thus, it is not difficult to predict that Apple's budget iPhone will still beat the Pixel 4a in terms of raw performance. However, for everyday phone use and a little smartphone gaming, the Pixel 4a is likely to perform better than that. [The Pixel 4a, with its Snapdragon chip and 6GB of LPDDR4X at an estimated price of $400, could be a fairly capable phone.

But the real draw of the Pixel 4a should be its photography performance, which was very impressive on the Pixel 3a. with the iPhone 11 Pro, Apple has stepped up its smartphone photography game and arguably beat the Pixel 4. Google will likely use smart software technology to improve the Pixel 4a's camera performance.

If Google can deliver a photography product that combines solid performance with a pure Android experience, the Pixel 4a could become an attractive and affordable alternative to most flagships.
