Mother of all iPhone12 leaks reveals the name, specifications and price of all models

Consider this the mother of all iPhone 12 leaks. A new video reveals the final names, specs, and prices of all of Apple's new flagship phones for the fall, and while there may be some bad news regarding display refresh rates for the Pro models, there is still plenty to get excited about.

Jon Prosser of Front Page Tech revealed all the iPhone 12 details on YouTube. You can watch the video below. We've also compiled the leaked iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro specs into one handy chart.

If you're wondering about the names, here's what you need to know The standard 5.4-inch iPhone 12 with dual rear cameras and a BOE OLED display would simply be called the iPhone 12. However, the larger 6.1-inch version might be named the iPhone 12 Pro Max.

Then step up to the iPhone 12 Pro model with triple rear cameras and LiDAR sensors, plus a Samsung OLED panel. 6.1-inch model would be called the iPhone 12 and 6.7-inch model would be called the iPhone 12 Pro Max. Most likely. In other words, there is symmetry: iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Max, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max.

What about the price of the iPhone 12? Miraculously, Apple is reportedly lowering the bottom end of its iPhone 12 pricing structure again. The cheapest iPhone 12, a 5.4-inch model with 128GB storage, could be $649. This is $50 less than the cheapest iPhone 11. Considering that the lowest price for the Samsung Galaxy S20 is $1,000, this is indeed welcome news.

The iPhone 12 Max starts at $749, the iPhone 12 Pro at $999, and the iPhone 12 Pro Max reportedly starts at $1,099. The standard iPhone 12 model offers a choice of 128GB or 256GB of storage, while the iPhone 12 Pro models offer a choice of 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB.

Next is the display. iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max are both rumored to feature the "Pro Motion" 120Hz display, a first for the iPhone. However, Prosser delivered disappointing news. Apple is working on this technology, but it is not certain if it will be included in the iPhone 12. It all depends on battery life, which Apple believes is more important than refresh rate for most customers, he said.

This means that the iPhone 12 Pro will either have a variable refresh rate of 120Hz that varies depending on what you are doing, or a standard 60Hz display like the iPhone 11 Pro, with no middle or toggle options available The iPad Pro 2020 will have the ability to turn off the ProMotion feature, but it is buried in the accessibility settings.

As an additional note on displays, both the iPhone 12s and iPhone 12 Pro will feature OLED displays, but they will be two different types of displays. iPhone 12 and 12 Max will use inexpensive panels made by BOE, while the iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max will reportedly use 10-bit color Samsung panels. We first saw this colorful technology in the OnePlus 8 Pro, and the iPhone 12 Pro should have the best display of the year.

Finally, availability: iPhones tend to be released in September each year, but Apple's iPhone 12 production cycle has been delayed due to travel restrictions to China. For this reason, Prosser predicts that the phone will not ship until October, although Apple may hold a launch event in September. We had already heard this rumor about the iPhone 12 Pro Max, but now it seems this could affect the entire lineup.
