Microsoft Surface Headphones 2, the follow-up to the wireless, over-the-ear Microsoft Surface Headphones, with impressive battery life and a clever active noise-canceling dial button, will be available soon Potential.

According to a new Bluetooth SIG listing granted to Microsoft (via 91 Mobiles), a refreshed version of the Surface Headphones will be available. According to the product description, the new Bluetooth 5.0 "phones" have a 20-hour battery on a single charge and a dial button to adjust ANC levels.

As noted in our review of Microsoft's Surface headphones, Microsoft's headphones are unique in that they incorporate a physical rotary dial on each can to change volume and ANC intensity.

The Surface Headphones 2 seem to improve on this intuitive design by incorporating dial buttons instead of rotary dials. One of these buttons also allows the wearer to activate the voice assistant.

The list does not specify which voice assistants the Surface Headphones 2 will support. The first Surface Headphones support Microsoft's Cortana, Siri, and Google Assistant.

Bose currently dominates the roundup of the best noise-canceling headphones. However, given the reception of the first set of Surface Headphones, the Bose 700 and Bose QuietComfort 35 II may soon see competition.

91 Mobiles has suggested that the Surface Headphones 2 could debut at Microsoft's Build 2020 conference, which will be held online May 19 through May 21.
