The price and key specifications of the iPhone12 were leaked in all 4 models

The iPhone 12 launch is still months away, but we may have learned the pricing and key specs for the four models Apple plans to unveil in the fall.

Yesterday, YouTube tech leaker Jon Prosser responded to rumors of iPhone 12 price speculation and confirmed with his company's sources to provide an overview of Apple's upcoming smartphone lineup.

If Prosser is correct, Apple will debut the iPhone 12 in a total of four models in three different sizes, priced from $649 to $1,099. Oh, and they will all feature 5G.

This iPhone 12 info dump is juicy, but it's not all news. We've known for months that four versions of Apple's flagship were in the works. And last week, UBI Research analyst Chung-Hoon Lee predicted a similar price point and model size.

According to Prosser, the entry-level iPhone 12 will be available in two sizes, unlike the iPhone 11. It is unclear whether this is a return to the company's "Plus" branding or an attempt to assert its growing dominance over the best small phone market; the 5.4-inch version will reportedly cost $649 and the 6.1-inch version $749.

Both baseline iPhone 12 models will feature dual cameras. Apple will add a third camera to the 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Pro and 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max, priced at $999 and $1099, respectively.

Right now, the only spec that sets the premium models apart is the LiDAR scanner, which was suspected thanks to an alleged internal design illustration leaked in early April. It shows the iPhone 12 Pro Max's quad camera arrangement, including sensors designed to measure depth and improve AR performance.

The LiDAR sensor debuted on the iPad Pro 2020 and is designed to dramatically improve the performance of iPhone AR apps. The same sensor could also be used for photo and video applications.

Other rumors about the iPhone 12 include a smoother 120Hz ProMotion display (at least on the Pro model), and possibly a new design with flatter edges, a smaller notch, and a new blue color.

The iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro lineup is expected to be announced this fall, but mass production is reportedly delayed by a month, so the new iPhones may not hit store shelves until October or later.
