Samsung Galaxy Note 20 leak reveals big upgrade

Samsung's Galaxy Note 20 is reportedly scheduled for an August launch, and we have received information that it will have major upgrades that will make it last longer on a charge than the Galaxy Note 10.

According to a Galaxy Club report (picked up by Sam Mobile), the Galaxy Note 20 will have the same size battery as the standard Galaxy S20, which is good news. And this is just one of two Galaxy Note 20 models that Samsung is expected to release this year.

Galaxy Club reports that the standard Galaxy Note 20 will have a 4,000 mAh battery, the same as the one found in the Galaxy S20. The rated capacity is 3,880 mAh, but the typical capacity is 4,000 mAh.

In contrast, the Galaxy Note 10's battery capacity is 3,500 mAh; in Tom's Guide battery tests, the Note 10 lasted only 9 hours 25 minutes when continuously surfing the web on cellular. Devices on our Best Smartphone Battery Duration list tend to last 11 hours or more.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus has a 4,300 mAh battery, which lasted 10 hours 47 minutes in our tests, although Galaxy Club does not yet know the battery capacity of the rumored Galaxy Note 20 Plus, It is reasonable to expect that it could have the 4,500 mAh battery found in the Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus, or the 5,000 mAh pack found in the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra.

There are several important variables that may affect the battery life of the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Plus. First, both models have 5G connectivity by default, which may consume power. And the two Note 20 models will probably have 120Hz displays. We know that a 120Hz screen will significantly reduce battery life when set to that mode. The good news is that you can choose 60 Hz when you want to conserve power.

The standard Galaxy S20 achieved an impressive 9 hours and 31 minutes, 10 minutes and 31 seconds for the Galaxy S20 Plus, and 11 minutes and 58 seconds for the Galaxy S20 Ultra in our web surfing test at 5G, but in 120Hz mode the results were 8 minutes 4 seconds, 8 minutes 55 seconds, and 9 minutes 13 seconds. The results. We expect Samsung to find a way to make 120Hz technology more efficient.

Other rumored features of the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Plus include a larger display, possibly over 7 inches on the Plus model, Snapdragon 865 power and the fastest possible eUFS 3.1 storage. In addition, Samsung is said to be working on a finer 120Hz display for these models. Also, since the Note 20 is codenamed "Canvas" inside Samsung, an S Pen upgrade is also expected.
