OnePlus8Pro is the fastest wireless charging phone ever — and shatters the Galaxy S20Ultra

OnePlus finally got with the times by making the OnePlus 8 Pro compatible with wireless and reverse wireless charging. But it actually goes much further than that. In fact, this is the fastest wireless charging ever.

While not cheap, the $65 Warp Charge 30 wireless charger for the OnePlus 8 Pro is a surprisingly useful accessory, offering 30W of power, compared to 15W for the $79.99 Samsung wireless charging stand. The OnePlus wireless charger is also rated to provide 50% more power in just 30 minutes.

The Warp Charge 30 Wireless Charger looks like a typical wireless charger from the front, but it has a built-in fan on the back. This prevents the phone from overheating during rapid charging. In addition, smart detection technology allows the charger to automatically switch from 30W to 10W in bedtime mode, so the fan does not blare in the background while you sleep.

In a Warp Charge 30 test, the OnePlus 8 Pro reached 15% battery capacity in 8 minutes and 55% in 30 minutes. This is even faster than OnePlus claims and on par with the iPhone 11 Pro with a wired fast charger.

While we did not have the opportunity to test Samsung's wireless charger stand at 15W of power, PhoneArena found that Samsung's Galaxy S20 Ultra reached 28% in 30 minutes and 61% in 1 hour; the OnePlus 8's Warp Charge 30 reached 97% in one hour.

As expected, the OnePlus 8 Pro's Warp Charge 30T performed even better than the wireless charger. In just 15 minutes, the OnePlus 8 Pro reached 34%, and at 30 minutes it reached 63%.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus reached only 55% at 30 minutes when using the included charger, while the iPhone 11 Pro Max was at 48%. [According to PhoneArena, the S20 Ultra reached 70% in 30 minutes using this charger.

The OnePlus 8 Pro currently offers the world's fastest wireless charging. The wired charger is also one of the fastest in the world.

And given that the OnePlus 8 Pro costs $500 less than the Galaxy S20 Ultra and $300 less than the Galaxy S20 Plus, the $65 investment for the Warp Charge 30 Wireless is a pittance.
