Samsung's AirPods Pro killer could be安100 Cheaper with noise cancellation

Samsung's rumored bean-counting earbuds are coming to the AirPods Pro. The upcoming wireless headphones will reportedly feature active noise cancellation and 11 hours of battery life, and will reportedly cost about $100 less than Apple's premium pair.

According to reports from South Korea, where Samsung is headquartered, the next generation Galaxy Buds will feature active noise cancellation and cost less than $150.

According to SamMobile, the Buds could be unveiled at Samsung's upcoming keynote "Unpacked" along with the Samsung Galaxy Note 20.

Samsung debuted the Galaxy Buds Plus in February along with the Galaxy S20 lineup, and while that pair made our list of best wireless earphones, we noted the lack of active noise cancellation as a drawback.

The AirPods Pro has ANC, but at $250, it is quite expensive. If Samsung can make a $150 earphone that sounds as great as the Buds Plus and blocks out as much outside sound as the AirPods, Apple could be toppled in the earphone market.

That is if people are ready to wear beans in their ears.

The renderings released by WinFuture show the bean-like buds from several angles. If the design proves to be accurate, the beans appear to fit snugly in the ear without the use of silicone ear tips. This form factor is definitely thinner than the stemmed AirPods currently offered.
