[Pixar's first major film, "Onward," released in 2020, is now available on Disney Plus. Originally released on March 6, "Onward" looks like a lot of fun and is a Marvel movie reunion of sorts, with voice acting by Tom Holland ("Spider-Man: Homecoming") and Chris Pratt ("Guardians of the Galaxy").

Even those outside the mouse house can watch the film thanks to a VOD purchase option. Interestingly, "Onward" is not on all versions of Disney Plus.

"Onward" was well received by critics, but failed to exactly meet the huge shoes and standards set by the most beloved Pixar film. The film, about a pair of friends on a journey to save their father, mixes a teenage coming-of-age story with a fantasy world - elves, dragons, and magic.

One of the first major films to be released digitally early after the COVID-19 outbreak restricted public gatherings and closed movie theaters, Onward was followed by Invisible Man and Emma. Unlike films like "Trolls Wonder Woman: 1984" and "James Bond 25: No Time to Die," whose releases were delayed, "Trolls: World Tour" will be available digitally later this month.

Strange news, there is no on demand Disney Plus in Canada. Makes no sense, right? Disney owns Pixar, Disney owns Disney Plus, and Disney and Pixar created Onward.

Anyway, Canadians are not out of luck; both the Microsoft Store and Apple iTunes offer Onward for $24.99 CAD.

Unfortunately, Disney Plus does not yet carry Onward in the UK. Odd, isn't it? Despite the fact that the service launched last month in the UK and the rest of Europe and is a Disney-owned film, no one in the UK is selling Onward as a video-on-demand digital rental. We are just as confused as you are.
