Everyone uses Zoom, one of the best video chat apps and teleconferencing software solutions, while staying home for work meetings or personal calls with friends and family.

During a Zoom meeting, you can chat with other participants. You can send group chat messages or private messages to individuals; Zoom chat is a great way to share links, clarify what was said on the video call, or post lists or large blocks of text.

Zoom chats are available as long as the host has not disabled the meeting or webinar feature. Hosts can also set chat limits, allowing participants to chat with all participants, only the host, or specific panelists; see here for more information on how to chat with Zoom.

As the host of a Zoom meeting, you can control the chat feature. You can disable chat for all participants or disable private chat (so that private messages cannot be sent). You can also set restrictions so that participants can only send messages to the host or to a group of webinar panelists.
