Now that many of us are working remotely, we want to upgrade to a better work-from-home laptop. And Samsung has just the ticket with the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook, a 13-inch laptop that offers better specs and features than the new MacBook Air at the same price.

According to The Verge, the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook will be available on April 6. Here's where you can get this sleek laptop and what you get for the price.

The Samsung Galaxy Chromebook will reportedly be available at both Best Buy (which now has a registration page) and Samsung.com, with prices starting at $999. However, when placed alongside the similarly priced MacBook Air, it is hardly a match for the MacBook Air.

The Galaxy Chromebook is powered by a 10th generation Core i5 processor, compared to the MacBook Air's Core i3 chip. Also, the Samsung system has a more powerful U-series chip, whereas the Air has a less powerful Y-series CPU.

Both the Galaxy Chromebook and the new MacBook Air have 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, but the Samsung Chromebook wins in the display category. the Galaxy Chromebook has a 4K resolution ( 3840 x 2160) 13-inch AMOLED panel, which is more colorful and sharper than the Air's Retina LCD (2560 x 1600)

Additionally, only the Galaxy Chromebook has a touch display, allowing users to control Android apps downloaded from the Google Play Store and can control Android apps downloaded from the Google Play Store. Also, since this Chromebook is a 2-in-1, it can be used in tablet or tent mode as well as laptop mode.

The Galaxy Chromebook is also significantly lighter than the MacBook Air; the Air is 2.8 pounds and 0.16-0.63 inches, while the Samsung laptop is only 2.29 pounds and 0.4 inches thin.

Both the Galaxy Chromebook and MacBook Air have two USB-C ports and a headphone jack, but only the Air's port supports the faster Thunderbolt 3. The Galaxy Chromebook, on the other hand, has an additional microSD card slot for expansion.

The biggest question hanging over the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook is battery life; the MacBook Air lasted quite a bit longer in our lab, 9 hours and 31 minutes (full review to come). The Galaxy Chromebook's 4K OLED display should have a significant impact on durability.
