iPhone12Pro video has everything we've been waiting for

The iPhone 12 release date is definitely in flux due to the Coronavirus outbreak, but that hasn't stopped designers from envisioning everything we can expect from Apple's next flagship. The latest concept video highlights the iPhone 12 Pro's new features and retro look.

The first thing you notice in this iPhone 12 design, created by YouTube's Hacker34, is the square camera bump on the back, which features a LiDAR scanner to calculate flight time. This feature debuted on the new iPad Pro 2020 and is designed to provide better performance in augmented reality (AR) apps.

Other notable design changes include the iPhone 12 in this video, which has a boxy design with squared edges. This is not a big surprise, as there have been rumors for some time that Apple might inject some of the iPhone 4 aesthetic into the 2020 iPhone.

As for colors, there is a new dark blue in addition to the black and white shades. There is a fourth color, which appears to be space gray or gold, but the phone is not visible from the back.

In line with previous reports, the iPhone 12 Pro in this clip comes in two sizes: 6.1" and 6.7". Both are larger than the iPhone 11 Pro (5.8") and iPhone 11 Pro Max (6.5").

The Concept's display resolution is 2688 x 1242 pixels, the same as the current iPhone, but the screen offers a 120 Hz refresh rate with ProMotion technology. So unlike Samsung's Galaxy S20 series, the iPhone 12 has the smarts to automatically raise and lower the refresh rate, which will help conserve battery life.

On the back, the iPhone 12 Pro envisions "a whole new camera experience." This includes a 48MP main sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 12MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. All of this will be complemented by a LiDAR sensor. The 3x optical zoom will actually be disappointing compared to the Galaxy S20 Ultra's 10x lossless zoom and periscope lens.

The iPhone 12 Pro's notch is not gone in this video, but it is smaller while offering all the same features, including Face ID. We all want an all-screen phone, and this brings us one step closer.

Other highlights include the rumored (and very powerful) A14 Bionic chip, which could be as fast as the MacBook Pro, and reverse wireless charging with PowerDrop. So you could probably wirelessly charge another phone or AirPods Pro on the back of the iPhone 12 Pro.

The video ends with a list of other possible iPhone 12 Pro features, including faster Face ID, 25W fast charging, up to 1TB of storage, and of course 5G support.

As a concept, this video makes the multiple rumors of the iPhone 12 Pro a reality without being excessive. For the latest leaks and news, check out our iPhone 12 rumor summary page.
