All of the series' main regular cast members return for Ozark Season 3, including Jason Bateman as Marty Byrd and Laura Linney as Wendy Byrd. Sofia Habritz and Skyler Gartner will reprise their roles as the Byrd children, Charlotte and Jonah.

Emmy Award winner Julia Garner also returns as Ruth Langmore, and Janet McTeer has been promoted to series regular as cartel lawyer Helen Pierce.

Ozark Season 3 will feature several new faces. Tom Pelfrey stars as Ben Davis, Wendy's volatile and unpredictable brother. Jessica Frances Dukes will star as FBI agent and forensic accountant Maya Miller. Maya Miller comes to the casino by the book, defeating Marty (Bateman).

Joseph Sikora reprises his role as Frank Cosgrove, Jr. the hot-headed son of Kansas City mob boss Frank Cosgrove. who quickly clashes with Ruth when they are assigned to work together in a new casino laundering operation.

And Felix Solis is Omar Navarro, the ruthless leader of Mexico's second largest drug cartel. He attacks his enemies with both brutal violence and psychological warfare.

Ozark Season 3 picks up six months after the events of the second season finale; according to Netflix's official synopsis, "The casino is up and running, Marty and Wendy are fighting over control of the family's destiny. Marty preaches the status quo. Aided by an alliance with Helen and drug cartel leader Omar Navarro, Wendy plots expansion. But when Wendy's brother Ben arrives in town, everyone's lives are thrown into chaos.

The casino is the Bird family's biggest venture to date, and star Jason Bateman told reporters at the Emmy Awards, "It's more opportunities, both positive and negative, some tempting and some calming. It has an interesting effect on the family and on Marty and Wendy's relationship." [The casino and the cartel are not the only headaches for Marty. There is also Cade Langmore, who was killed by a mysterious gunman. The suspects include not only Marty, but also Cade's daughter Ruth and nephew Wyatt. Since Cade himself murdered FBI agent Roy Petty, law enforcement has a strong interest in all involved.

Marty must also clear up the murder of Reverend Mason Young, which he committed to save Wendy. His body was incinerated, but his baby was given to Darlene Snell (who killed her husband Jacob). There have been so many murders in the Ozarks that it is like a tangled web from which no one seems to escape.
