Amazon has added its name to the list of places where you can stream free family movies and TV shows online. tired of watching all the best family movies on Netflix and "Anna and the Snow Queen" and "Anna and the Snow Queen 2" on repeat on Disney Plus? I now have new options for what to watch next.

But the choices don't stop there. The other three major streaming companies are also offering free content for families. Thus, you can create your very own pantry to watch with your children while at home in the coming weeks.

Much of the content available from these services is targeted at younger audiences. With more and more families with children at home who need education and entertainment, it is these parents who need these options more than anyone else.

For those who don't want to pay for Prime right now, Amazon Prime Video now offers many streaming shows and movies. If you log in with your account and click on the "Kids" section of Prime Video, the list of shows and movies includes licensed content such as "Arthur," "Kylie," "Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood," "Rugrats All Grown Up," and Creative Galaxy," "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie," "Little Big Awesome," and "The Day the Snow Falls," as well as Amazon originals such as "The Creative Galaxy," "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie," "Little Big Awesome," and "The Day the Snow Falls.

There are also classics like Mister Rogers' Neighborhood and Reading Rainbow. In addition, Prime Video offers free family-friendly movies such as Megamind, Elmo and Grouchland, Stuart Little, and Short Circuit. These are in a row marked IMDB.TV, but play for free with ads.

If this selection seems a little too specialized for the really young, Amazon told TechCrunch that it is "continuing to work with content partners to broaden the selection over time."

Sling may be best known for its live TV service, but did you know that there is also Sling TV Free Experience, available at watch.sling.com/. The company is giving away episodes of Teen Titans Go! Adventure Time, Powerpuff Girls, Lego Ninjago, Bob the Builder, Craig of the Greek, and more.

The free Sling experience also includes live news from ABC and FOX. Once the kids are in bed, there are plenty of shows and movies for parents to enjoy alone.

If you like the Sling TV service, you should know that they are currently doubling the free trial of their live TV streaming service from 7 days to 14 days. If you're in a Nick Jr. household, go for Sling Blue, while Disney Channel-friendly folks should opt for Sling Orange. Cartoon Network is on both, as is Nat Geo Wild.

Free online TV streaming service Tubi has plenty of family-friendly programming divided into two sections: kids shows and family movies. In the former, you'll find recent shows like "Degrassi: The Next Generation," "Yu-Gi-Oh," and "Naruto," as well as older shows like the 1980s "Transformers" and the black-and-white "Dennis the Menace," which kids will ask, "What did you (or your parents ) what was TV like when you were a kid?

The film section includes Anne Hathway's early film "Ella Enchanted" and Eddie Murphy's family film "Imagine That." Other films include "Finding Neverland," "Mouse Hunt," and "The Secret of N.I.M.H."

The always free, ad-supported Pluto TV has a kids' section worth checking out. As I write this article, Pluto TV's Family Channel is streaming "The Adventures of Tintin," with "The Wild Thornberrys Movie" next. There are also channels for Nick, Nick Jr, Nickmovies, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Dora the Explorer. There is also Anime All Ages, a network of family-friendly cartoons.
