Love is Blind Season 2: Release Date, Cast and Everything We Know

Love is Blind Season 2: Release Date, Cast and Everything We Know

Netflix has answered "I do" to "Love is Blind" Season 2. The hit dating reality series created quite a buzz on social media with its insane premise of a couple meeting and getting engaged without ever meeting each other.

Love is Blind Season 1 ended with the February 27 wedding finale episode in which two couples (Lauren and Cameron and Amber and Burnett) were married. The rest of the Love is Blind cast did not say "I do." However, a "Love is Blind" reunion special delivered on March 5 revealed that one couple had reunited after a failed wedding.

With celebrity fans including Chrissy Teigen and Shonda Rhimes, the addictive show will return with a new cast, more drama, and more heartbreak. Everything you need to know about "Love is Blind" Season 2.

Good news, fellow podders: Netflix has renewed "Love is Blind" Season 2: ...... And "Love is Blind" Season 3 as well!

Yes, the streaming service has renewed "Love is Blind" for two more seasons (while also greenlighting "The Circle" season 2 (US) and season 3!)

But when will "Love Is Blind" Season 2 premiere? That's where the bad news comes in. The coronavirus-related shutdown in place has halted film and television production; Netflix has begun online auditions for "Love Is Blind" Season 2, but filming (even in the pod stage) will not begin for several more months.

Therefore, we won't see "Love is Blind" Season 2 until 2021.

Netflix is currently hosting an online casting in Chicago for "Love Is Blind" Season 2.

This represents a change from Season 1, which drew cast members from the Atlanta area.

While some fans would like to see some of the Season 1 cast return for Season 2 (e.g., Mark Cuevas), that seems unlikely. The new cast members in season 2 should know who he is and what he looks like, which is completely contrary to the premise of the show.

Stay tuned for a trailer for "Love is Blind" Season 2 after filming begins.

"Love is Blind" Season 2 will most likely keep the same format as Season 1, but some elements may be added.

"Love is Blind" is a serious twist on the typical dating reality series, a cross between The Bachelor and Married at First Sight. Netflix has 15 men and women speed-dating, but none of them can physically see each other. Instead, the men and women enter connected pods and talk to each other through walls.

The first date lasts seven to ten minutes, but after that the cast has complete control. They can choose who they go on dates with and how long they spend together.

Then, after 10 days of pod dating, the man can propose to the woman. If she accepts, they can finally meet in person.

The engaged couple then goes to Mexico for a romantic vacation. They stay at the same resort, which forces them to meet some of the other people they dated while in the pod.

When the vacation is over, the couples move into the same housing complex. Each engaged couple gets used to living with each other, meets the other's family and friends, and learns about the other's background and finances.

Then comes the wedding day, and each couple faces each other at the altar and decides to marry in order to separate.

I would like to see a longer season of "Love is Blind" Season 2, following more couples. Fun fact: In Season 1, eight couples got engaged, but the show only focused on six (the two that weren't included ended up not getting married).
