Samsung Galaxy Note 20 steals more from Galaxy S20

We are very excited about the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and we also really like the Galaxy S20 series that Samsung announced in February. But in the end, there may not be that much difference between the two phones.

A recent tweet from Ice Universe, a well-known leaker of Samsung phones and other phones, says that the S20 has a lot in common with the Note 20, including the camera.

In a second tweet replying to a comment, Ice Universe repeats his point rather bluntly: the addition of the S Pen changes a lot about how we use the Galaxy Note series phones, but "S20 Pen Edition" is not a generous description.

Perhaps it doesn't matter if the Note 20 is similar to the S20. The Galaxy S20 Plus and Galaxy S20 Ultra in particular are very good phones, with excellent displays, cameras, batteries, and future-proof 5G support. At 6.7 and 6.9 inches respectively, the S20 Plus and S20 Ultra have displays large enough to satisfy Note users, so all Samsung needs to do when launching its next flagship model is add a stylus associated with some new features may be the only thing.

However, some users may expect more from the Note 20. Not only is it usually larger than the largest phones in the Galaxy S series and adds a stylus, but there are usually enough new features to make the Note series worth the price increase. For example, last year's Galaxy Note 10 was Samsung's first phone to feature 25W (optional 45W) fast charging, live focus for video, zoom-in microphone, and Samsung's DeX desktop link software.

As for the Note 20, we will have to wait and see what more rumors and what will be said at the final launch event. Given the problems the coronavirus outbreak is currently causing, the August release we are hoping for may be delayed.
