The iPhone 12 is already becoming a beastly flagship based on its rumored specs and features, but it will be even better if it borrows the advanced AR camera from the iPad Pro 2020. The series of renderings released by Svet Apple are exactly what we'd expect, and the sleek design is what we'd expect to see when the real thing arrives in September.

These renderings incorporate the latest iPhone 12 rumors (discovered by Notebookcheck) and show a design that packs a seamless front display with a small notch and color options of Midnight Green, Space Gray, Silver, and Navy Blue. The design is packed. The image shows the iPhone 12 with 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch display options, both with refresh rates of up to 120 Hz (like Samsung's new Galaxy S20 series).

But the real eye-catching part is the concept phone's camera bump, which shows how the iPhone 12 would look if it incorporated the LiDAR scanner found on the latest iPad Pro.

The iPad Pro's LiDAR scanner can measure distances up to 5 meters to nearby objects, which improves depth perception in photos and, more importantly, enables a more immersive augmented reality experience. Not only will this scanner make the iPhone 12 a photographic and AR powerhouse, but it may also make the phone's camera bump more attractive, if it is anything like that found in Apple's latest slate.

The iPhone 12 camera bump in these renderings combines the triple camera array of the iPhone 11 Pro with the square bump seen on the new iPad Pro. The result is a much cleaner, eye-pleasing camera setup (with LiDAR scanner) than the triangular lens array currently found on the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max.

Of course, this concept iPhone 12 is just a fan rendering and not an indication of what Apple plans to release this fall. Still, the iPhone 12 could benefit greatly from the iPad Pro's camera technology.
