The iPhone 12 will be a speed monster so powerful that it will destroy every phone released in 2020, including the current king of the Android hill, the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra.

At least that's according to benchmarks unearthed on Weibo by Chinese tech publication ITHome, as first reported by GizChina.

The results posted put the iPhone 12 on par with the latest iPad Pro and even surpasses most PC laptops in terms of raw processing power. Take a look at the following.

According to this Geekbench 5 scorecard, the A14 Bionic processor rumored to be in the iPhone 12 runs at about 3.1 GHz. According to past rumors, this new CPU will be manufactured by chip foundry TSMC on a 5-nanometer process, which is on the very edge of the current physical barrier in electronics.

1,658 for a single core and 4,612 for multi-cores are truly staggering numbers for a device of this size. Let's compare this to the benchmark of the current king of Android, the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra.

The fastest Android phone on the planet at the moment only gets 805 on single-core and 3,076.7 on multi-core. This is already below the iPhone 11 Pro Max's A13 bionic chip (1,334 in single-core and 3,517 in multi-core), but the A14 beats the S20 Ultra's Snapdragon 865 by a wide margin.
