Google Maps has two major features to help you in the event of a coronavirus outbreak

[But with the coronavirus pandemic, many of us are making the decision to socially distance ourselves or isolate ourselves. Google is adapting to the times by adding useful new features to Google Maps.

These features are especially useful at a time when many of us are refraining from venturing outside of our homes. And when we do, we will want to make sure that the businesses we visit have the items we want on hand.

The first useful feature is the ability to order food directly from the Google Maps app; as BGR reported, once you find a participating restaurant, you will see an online order button for that restaurant. Then tap Delivery and select the delivery service.

There is no need to leave the app to pay. Everything takes place within Google Maps. If you want to try it out, you can order directly from this link, or you can use Google Search or Google Assistant to order.

In addition, Google Maps has set up a help page to assist businesses affected by COVID-19 so that they can provide updated information to their customers. For example, they can change their hours of operation if they close early.

Businesses can also share information about how their operations have been affected by the outbreak and what precautions they are taking. In addition, they can share whether they are providing special services to the community and whether they are experiencing delays.

According to Google, companies can also create posts to share more detailed and timely updates.
