The Logitech Powered 3-in-1 Dock may not have a fancy name like the AirPower Mat or the minimalist design that Apple was aiming for.

The wireless dock has three areas to accommodate three devices: the iPhone (compatible models only), the AirPod wireless charging case, and the Apple Watch.

In fact, the charger is compatible with any standard Qi-based device with wireless charging capabilities, including Samsung, Motorola, and Xiaomi.

Logitech claims to have "tweaked" it for Apple devices from the iPhone 8. It also supports 7.5W charging, which the company calls "fast charging" and "exceeds the standard 5W offered by other wireless chargers."

While it is true that 5W is the Qi standard, there are more powerful wireless chargers available, ranging from 20W to 30W. If you're looking for something that fast, Logitech's Powered 3-in-1 dock won't do it.

But if you're using Apple devices or don't care about speed because you'll leave your devices juiced up all night, the Logitech Powered 3-in-1 dock, from its design and ability to charge all your iDevices simultaneously, It looks especially like the ticket.

This last part is key. This Logitech can hold one iPhone, one AirPods case, and one Apple Watch. Alternatively, it can hold two iPhones, one lying on a mat, the other upright, and an Apple Watch.

This is much more than Apple accomplished with the embarrassing failure of the Apple AirPower. Its wireless charger (which theoretically can charge all iDevices simultaneously on one flat mat) was announced in 2018. It suffered delay after delay until an electronics problem prevented it from working properly and Apple cancelled it out of frustration. Physics is a dependable but very unforgiving mistress.

Since it was cancelled, other devices with similar multi-device wireless charging capabilities have arrived on the market, including the Mophie and Belkin Boostup. The Logitech Powered 3-in-1 Dock looks much better.

If after looking at the Logitech Powered 3-in-1 Dock you still want a simpler design than this, you may be in luck. Current rumors suggest that Apple is indeed returning to the AirPower project. At least according to the patents, this is an exaggeration, but at least there's something there.
