Samsung Galaxy Note 20 leaked specifications are somehow worse than the note 10

With Samsung's Galaxy S20 series announcement winding down, the Galaxy Note 20 is slowly gaining attention. While there has been a lot of speculation about what features Samsung's next-generation phablet will have, some small information about the specs has come in.

A leak posted by SamMobile claims that the base version of the Note 20 will have 128GB of storage. While this seems like a reasonable number, it is interesting in that the Galaxy Note 10 had at least 256GB of storage, so it is definitely a downgrade.

Normally, one would hope that numbers such as RAM, storage, and battery capacity would go up, or at least stay the same, between phone generations. Therefore, it is a bit puzzling to see the Note 20 rumored to have half the base storage.

The Note 10 basic model is a step backwards from the Note 9. That said, the Note 10 Plus has expandable storage; the Note 10 Plus has expandable memory, but at a much higher price.

Hopefully, Samsung will bring back the MicroSD slot on the basic Note 20. This would be especially useful if the Note 20 uses the super-powerful camera technology that debuted on the S20 series, especially the S20 Ultra's 108MP main sensor and 48MP 100x "space zoom" telephoto sensor.

Samsung tends to announce its Galaxy Note series in July or August, so we can expect an answer in late summer. We also expect to see the next version of the Galaxy Fold at the same event, just as the Galaxy Z Flip was introduced at the S20 series in February.
