Do you have an Android TV? Now you can get HMA VPN on it

If you enjoy streaming forbidden TV from abroad via VPN but don't want to run an HDMI cable from your PC to your TV, HMA (formerly HideMyAss!

formerly a naughty VPN service provider but now an antivirus maker a respectable subsidiary of Avast, today (March 3) announced support for smart TV sets running Android TV and over-the-top streaming boxes.

Android apps can be installed directly from Google Play and paid for through the app, or through the HMA website, where you pay and then install the app.

HMA is not the first VPN provider to directly support Android TV; CyberGhost, ExpressVPN, NordVPN, VyprVPN, and several others already do.

HMA charges $12/month or $83.88/year; there is a 7-day free trial, and if you really like it, you can sign up for a 3-year plan for $143.64. HMA has "over 1,000 servers in over 290 locations in 190 countries, the largest It claims to have the largest selection of server locations." (It is possible that some of these servers are simply virtual instances.)

But who are we kidding -- if you want to use a VPN on your smart TV, it's probably because you want to watch Netflix from Lithuania or wherever, and as law-abiding citizens of Tom's Guide, we don't condone it. We are just saying you can do it too.
