The iPhone 11 (and its bigger siblings, the iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max) were a huge hit with tech fans when they were first introduced to the world in September. In particular, the iPhone 11 Pro Max, with its triple-camera setup and huge 6.5-inch OLED screen, was described as "the ultimate smartphone" in a five-star review.

However, now that Samsung's Galaxy S20 series has officially launched, we expect the iPhone 12 to launch next fall. And judging by some of the rumors flying around the web, including four camera setups, wireless power sharing, and up to four different handsets, it could be the biggest upgrade in years.

Concept artist channel Phone Industry has taken everything we know about the iPhone 12 so far and created a digital rendering that may be very close to what we will get. The design features the largest screen in iPhone history at 6.7 inches and four cameras, including a 48MP main lens, an ultra-wide-angle lens, a telephoto lens, and a time-of-flight depth sensor.

While Samsung used a massive 108MP sensor in the Galaxy S20 Ultra, the iPhone 11 Pro Max is the opposite, with three 12MP cameras that still perform incredibly well. Bigger sensors are not everything, but the significant jump to a 48MP main camera appears to incorporate some of the image detail that has emerged from the current big sensor trend, while keeping Apple's focus on quality over gimmickry. This is the best of both worlds.

The design incorporates clever tricks already seen (albeit imperfectly) in other phones, such as wireless power sharing. This design would be Apple's first 5G phone, which makes sense: while there was not much demand for 5G when the iPhone 11 series was released, more and more networks around the world are rolling out 5G. By the time this phone is released in the fall, demand for 5G handsets will have increased.
