The Oppo Find X2 has "the screen that a true flagship of 2020 should have," says company vice president Brian Shen. The problem is that we still don't know what 120Hz "3K" really means.

The long-awaited sequel to the Oppo Find X, which the editor-in-chief's review described as "a stunning slice of the future," will finally be released on March 6. The sleek phone will compete head-to-head with Samsung's Galaxy S20 Ultra and iPhone 11 Pro Max and was scheduled to be unveiled at MWC 2020 in Barcelona, Spain, on February 22.

According to the teaser image posted by Shen, the Oppo Find X2 will feature a 120Hz 3K panel. This may mean it will have 3,000 vertical lines of pixels, but it is unclear what this actually means.

According to trusted cell phone rumor mill Ice Universe, it will be a true QHD panel running at 120Hz: "Can't wait to get my hands on the OPPO Find X2," Ice Universe tweeted, "I want to experience real QHD + 120Hz. Samsung's FHD + 120Hz makes me addicted, but not clear enough". This seems to imply that the phone will always run at 120Hz at any resolution.

A well-known Twitter leakster seems to expect the Find X2 to have a better display than the one on the latest Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra.

The Oppo Find X was an impressive phone, both in its design and top-of-the-line technical specs at the time; little is known about the Find X2, but from the sound of its display, the Chinese company is going to compete head-to-head and beat the best flagships It seems they are trying to.

According to Allen Wu, Oppo's president of global sales, it is certain that the Find X2 will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon processor.

The 120Hz 3K display is rumored to be a 6.5-inch AMOLED panel. Rumors also suggest that the basic system could start with 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, three camera sensors on the back, and a 32-megapixel selfie camera in accordance with Oppo's commitment to taking the best selfie shots. The entire package is said to be powered by a 4,065mAh battery.

A Bluetooth certification application unearthed by Gizchina lists two models, CPH2023 and CPH2025, which the site claims are the two models of the Find X2. The former features a rear camera module with 48MP, 12MP, and 13MP sensors, while the latter features a combination of 48MP, 48MP, and 13MP sensors for wide-angle, ultra-wide-angle, and telephoto lenses. According to the submitted documents, these new smartphones will feature a 6.7-inch WQHD panel.

One wonders if the Find X2 will keep its distinctive sliding hidden rear camera design, knowing that Samsung, Huawei, and everyone else is adding a huge iPhone 11-style camera package to the back of their flagships, it would be very refreshing to see Oppo avoid this ugly design.
