PS5 and Xbox Series X Gameplay: Leaker Says Its Crazy good

You may be getting your first taste of what games played on the PS5 and Xbox Series X will be like.

OsirisBlack, a prominent gaming industry leaker, detailed his experience playing the game, which is said to be a next-generation title, at NeoGAF (via GamesRadar). OsirisBlack recalls being told by the developer that the title will have "multiple volumetric lighting sources" and that every character in the game is unique

.

"When an enemy shoots me, I note the deformation of the displayed geometry, revealing a chunk of cement giving way and a metal pipe underneath holding the structure together," OsirisBlack wrote, and the kind of realism that might be possible in PS5 or Xbox Series X Detailing the dynamic environment, OsirisBlack is not sure which hardware he played this title on, but it reportedly runs at 90 frames per second at 4K on both PS5 and Xbox Series X. For context, both next-generation consoles will be capable of 8K resolution and frame rates up to 120 frames per second, but most next-generation games will likely target 4K/60 frames per second performance.

OsirisBlack also notes that "both consoles are targeting very high performance," which is consistent with recent rumors that the PS5 and Xbox Series X will sell for about $499.

While this report should be taken with a grain of salt, it is worth noting that OsirisBlack correctly predicted the existence of the PS4 Pro in 2016; E3 will take place in June and both models are expected to be available by the end of 2020, so official gameplay of the PS5 and Xbox Series X will not have to wait very long to see
