Forget the Galaxy S20: LG V60 is getting a monster battery and headphone jack

With Samsung's Galaxy S20 available for pre-order today, it's not going to be easy for competitors to beat the hype. Today, however, we got our first look at the final design of the LG V60 ThinQ.

In the official-looking renderings published by Android Headlines, the LG V60 looks pretty good. It has a teardrop notch, the front is mostly screen, and the gold frame definitely pops.

Other design features include a dedicated Google Assistant button and volume rocker on the left side. On the right side there should be a power button.

But the most interesting feature is the leaked specs: the LG V60 is expected to have a 5,000 mAh battery, which is much larger than the Galaxy S20's 4,000 mAh battery. To get this capacity from Samsung, one would have to step up to the Galaxy S20 Ultra.

The LG V60 will also reportedly feature the headphone jack that Samsung eliminated on the entire Galaxy S20 lineup. Sure, the best wireless earbuds can easily cut the cord, but there are still plenty of people with wired headphones who really want to use them without a dongle. [The LG V60 will be a 5G phone, as it should have the same Snapdragon 865 processor and 5G modem as the Galaxy S20.

Other rumored LG V60 features include 8GB of RAM (up from 12GB for the S20) and 128GB of storage (same as the S20 line). It will also have a microSD card slot.

What is not yet known is whether LG will offer a second screen on the LG V60 like the LG G8X Dual Screen.

Given that the LG V60 was expected to be announced at the cancelled MWC 2020, it does not seem likely that it will be long before the company officially announces the phone.
