Westworld Season 3 trailer teases bloody war, asks if humanity will be on the side with AI

The trailer for Season 3 of "Westworld," released today, seems to wave a giant banner that reads, "There is violence ahead!" seems to wave a giant flag that reads, "There is violence ahead!"

The clip, released earlier today by HBO, highlights alliances and connections that seem to lead to a war that is not a civil war, pitting AI against AI and asking humanity which side it will choose.

The clip begins with Dolores talking off camera about how she (and her fellow AIs) were born into "this world" but were never allowed to go to "your world." Eventually, we learn that she is talking to Caleb, a new character played by Aaron Paul ("Breaking Bad").

Caleb then nervously asks her, again off camera. She replies, "You and I are very much alike. They put you in a cage and decided your life. The implication is that lower class people are more like AIs fighting for freedom than people who control everything.

The trailer then briefly suggests that Caleb and Dolores are trying to take down Maeve, but before that, Maeve reports to someone else. An unnamed person, played by Vincent Cassel of "Ocean's 12," calls Maeve and gives her instructions to hunt down Dolores.

Then things get wild. As an orchestral cover of Guns N' Roses' "Sweet Child of Mine" plays in the background, the Man in Black (Ed Harris) declares, "I'm going to save the world of fuck-ups."

Bernard (Jeffrey Wright) declares, "The plan, it begins."
