New "iPhone9" video shows off retro design

A hands-on video of the iPhone 9 (iPhone SE 2) has been released. Aside from the large bezel and the great home Touch ID button, it could be mistaken for one of the iPhones of yesteryear.

The iPhone 9, rumored to be released next month, may look like a hybrid of the iPhone 4 and iPhone SE with square sides, a single camera, and a thick forehead and chin. That is if this video is real.

YouTube account Sparrows News shared an alleged iPhone 9 video with a clip that appears to have been recorded on TikTok late Tuesday night. There's no way of knowing if it's legitimate, and given that it's inconsistent with some renderings we've seen, we're a bit skeptical.

However, the iPhone 9 in this video is not all retro: there is no 3.5mm headphone jack (RIP), and it is almost certain to feature the latest A13 processor in order to remain competitive with all the best Android phones.

The iPhone 9 is also expected to feature a 4.7-inch screen, considerably smaller than the iPhone 11's 6.1-inch screen. Currently, the new budget phone is expected to be announced in late March.
