According to Ben Geskin (who creates mockups of unreleased phones based on leaked information), the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 will have this design and will feature the new S-Pen. He says he based this design on leaked information, and there are many interesting points in both the design and the Galaxy Fold 2's specs.

According to the designer, the new Galaxy Fold 2 looks like Samsung's top flagship, at least according to the specs. Perhaps the price will be insane.

To begin with, the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2's screen is a significant upgrade from the original Fold. Inside, the size has jumped significantly from 7.3 inches to 7.7 inches. But most importantly, the foldable AMOLED QXGA+ panel has a 120Hz refresh rate, comparable to Samsung's Galaxy S20 and possibly the Galaxy Note 20.

The external display is a big leap from 4.6" to a 6.4" FHD+ Super AMOLED panel. If true, Samsung has decided to truly commit to the idea of offering a large display for work inside while providing a full-featured smartphone on the front cover.

At least according to Geskin, if we go in this direction, the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 will have a selfie camera in a teardrop notch on the front, while the tablet screen inside will lose the giant notch and have a punch hole in the upper right corner, almost completely clean state.

This means that the front screen can be used for quick videoconferences and selfies without having to make the motion of opening the device, leaving the built-in selfie camera for longer, more complex video chats. Both selfie cameras are said to have the same 10MP sensor.

On the back, we see a camera package that appears to be as large as the one on the Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus; leaked information provided by Geskin shows a 12MP sensor with a wide lens, a 12MP sensor with an ultra-wide lens, a telephoto lens 64MP sensor with telephoto lens. The package will also include a ToF DepthVision camera.

No further details are known about the Galaxy Fold 2, except that it will run on the Snapdragon 865 chipset and have 5G connectivity.

There are also rumors that the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 will finally feature the new S-Pen. It makes perfect sense for the Korean company to add a stylus to its 2-in-1 phablet, making it the folding equivalent of the Galaxy Note. Doing so would put the Galaxy Fold 2 at the top of Samsung's "professional" phone pyramid.

Knowing the sensitivity of such a foldable screen, however, it is hard to imagine that the S-Pen drawn by Geskin would be the ticket for this. That stylus would make a dent in Samsung's latest foldable display, as shown in stress tests on the Galaxy Z Flip. Any stylus will need a scratch- and dent-proof surface, which current technology is unlikely to provide - with or without Samsung's "ultra-thin glass."

Therefore, it seems reasonable to assume that a stylus will not be included in the Galaxy Fold 2 unless Samsung includes new technology in either the display or the S-Pen that avoids screen damage.

If the Note-Fold simultaneous release rumors are true, we will have to wait until summer to see if we get all this technological goodness, including the pen.
