Samsung Galaxy Note 20 can take on iPad Pro with this surprise update

The Samsung Galaxy S20 series and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip were just announced to the world at a major global event in San Francisco. With such a high-profile announcement having just taken place, you would have thought that we would not be hearing much about the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series for some time yet. In fact, until recently, it was rumored to be coming at the end of the year.

However, it seems that Samsung does not adhere to common sense timeframes. According to Max Weinbach, a prominent Samsung leaker, the Note 20 smartphone is now rumored to be eyeing a July release.

The 18-year-old wunderkind also believes that the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2, or whatever name Samsung's latest foldable will eventually be called, will be released around the same time Weinbach believes that the Fold 2 will be released under the name "Z Fold 2." He believes, but admits that this is subject to change. Check out the leaked information below:

As you can see, Weinbach reveals an interesting detail that Samsung is looking at a July release date for the next handset: a giant "phablet" smartphone that comes with an S Pen stylus, which already has a huge amount of processing power and top-of-the-line models with access to 5G networks, and they are proving to be a huge hit.

However, in the leaked information dropped by Weinbach regarding the Fold 2, he drops another hint that is very relevant to the Samsung Note 20.

Weinbach mentions the Fold 2's Infinity V display and screen size, but he also drops some interesting details about the upgraded S Pen that will be included in the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series. note series, a stylus that can be neatly stored in the series is one of the smartphone's big draws (pardon the pun) and will allow users to more easily work across the phone's massive screen.

This positions Samsung's Galaxy Note 20 (and now the Galaxy Fold 2) as a direct competitor to tablets like Apple's iPad Pro. Perhaps not from a power standpoint, but its user base could certainly be whittled away.

At the moment, Apple prefers to keep tablets and phones as very separate entities, but with the Note series and the upcoming Fold 2, Samsung is not afraid to blur the lines.

The existing S Pen, an inductive stylus that works with the Note on both hardware and software levels, already converts handwriting into readable text, resizes objects more accurately, sketches photos, and much more. We can't wait to see what the new, improved model for the next generation of notebooks will look like.
