Google may no longer be giving Android a fun name named after dessert, but it just gave us a tasty appetizer for its next mobile OS: Android 11.

Android Police (via Android Central) captured a screenshot of a now-deleted web page on Google's Android Developer Preview site that mentioned Android 11. There were no other functioning links on the page, but the screenshot does give a hint as to what the new update will bring.

Android 11 should be unveiled at Google I/O 2020, which will take place on May 12.

Key headlines that can be seen in the image include folding phones, biometrics, media, sharing, and support for NNAPI (Neural Network API), as well as behavior changes and new privacy features.

While there are not many specifics to grab here, it is good to see Google focusing its efforts on areas that could make a big difference to smartphone owners and help develop the foldable phone category.

Google has already stated that the Flex mode on the Galaxy Z Flip, which allows the foldable phone's display to be split in two when using various apps, will be available on other Android phones. Therefore, it would not be surprising if this screen-splitting feature was incorporated into Android 11.

For example, the Galaxy Z Flip allows users to watch YouTube videos at the top of the screen while browsing other clips at the bottom. It also allows Google Duo video calls on the top half of the screen, while the bottom half is occupied by controls.

As we wrote in our Android 10 review, Google brought many new features last year, including Dark Theme, Smart Reply for Messages, and a new location tool. However, some of these features performed better than others, and we hope that Android 11 will bring much-needed improvements that will rival the level of refinement of iOS 13 and boast many of the unique features that the leaked page suggests.

Keep an eye out for more Android 11 news and leaks as we head into Google I/O. We also expect to see the Pixel 4a phone at Google's event, so it will definitely be worth tuning in.
