Knife Out 2: Release Date, Cast and Everything We Know

"Knives Out 2" will be released. Yes, the dynamic whodunit that wowed Rian Johnson fans with Daniel Craig's caricatured Southern accent and Chris Evans' chunky cream-colored cable-knit sweater is making a sequel.

Knives Out 2, which was confirmed earlier this year, will once again star the charming detective Benoit Blanc. He will likely struggle to solve another Agatha Christie-inspired murder case among a motley assortment of suspects.

The biggest mystery, however, is not the plot of Knives Out 2, but the title of the sequel. The Twitter account for "Knives Out" has begun crowdsourcing potential titles for the sequel.

Needless to say, Rian Johnson is amused. Here is what else we know so far about "Knives Out 2".

No release date has been set for "Knives Out 2"; the film was just approved by Lionsgate in early February.

"Knives Out 2" could be released in 2021 or 2022. Including script writing, filming, and post-production for the sequel, a two-year production period for the second installment of "Knives Out" seems realistic.

Daniel Craig is the only returning cast member we can expect to see in "Knives Out 2." The same cannot be said for Chris Evans, Jamie Lee Curtis, Katherine Langford, Jaeden Martel, Ana de Armas, and others from the first film. All over coffee on the balcony.

Rian Johnson told Variety that, aside from the return of Daniel Craig, the plot of Knives Out 2 has nothing to do with the original Knives Out. Instead, it will follow Bran's next murder mystery.
