Better Call Saul Season 5: Release Date, Cast, Trailer and Everything We Know

Better Call Saul Season 5: Release Date, Cast, Trailer and Everything We Know

The latest installment of the cult favorite "Breaking Bad" prequel, "Better Call Saul," is slowly making its way to Season 5. Previous series have chronicled the life of aspiring lawyer Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk) before he transformed into the skeevy Saul Goodman we've come to love.

"It's the best season ever," Odenkirk told Deadline. 'It's going to blow your mind, and neither of those things are a joke.'

Before Season 4 aired, AMC renewed Better Call Saul (one of Netflix's best shows) for a fifth installment. While we have yet to see Jimmy fully embrace his reborn persona, last season's finale ended with him embracing his "Breaking Bad" character more than ever. This is especially true with the reinstatement of his New Mexico bar license.

We expect "Better Call Saul" Season 5 to be one of the best TV shows of 2020, but will it really take our breath away? Here's everything you need to know:

"Better Call Saul" will return on AMC on Sunday, February 23, 2020. The season premiere will air at 10 p.m. ET. The second episode of season five will air the following Monday, February 24 at 9 p.m. ET.

For fans in the UK, episodes of Better Call Saul will be available on Netflix the day after their air date in the US.

Jimmy (Bob Odenkirk), hitman Mike Elman Trout (Jonathan Banks), and famed TV villain Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito) appear in "Better Call Saul" season 5. Kim Wexler (Lea Seehorn) also returns to face the crossroads she faced in Season 4.

Double agent Nacho Varga (Michael Mando), lawyer Howard Hamlin (Patrick Fabian), rival drug lord Hector Salamanca (Mark Margolis), and nephew Lalo Salamanca (Tony Dalton) round out the main cast.

"Better Call Saul" Season 5 will also feature familiar faces from "Breaking Bad," including DEA agents Hank Schrader (Dean Norris) and Steven Gomez (Stephen Michael Quesada).

Meanwhile, Vince Gilligan has almost confirmed that Walter White (Bryan Cranston) and Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) will appear in Better Call Saul before it ends. It is unclear whether it will be this season or the sixth (and final) season.

Season 5 of Breaking Bad will finally witness Jimmy McGill's transformation into Saul Goodman. And later, girlfriend Kim deals with a serious change in relationship,

Mike finishes work on Gus' underground meth lab and intimidates anyone who gets in the boss's way. The film also shows Lalo Salamanca taking over the family business after his uncle Hector suffers a stroke.

Season 5 will likely contain a strong essence of Soul's story approaching its endgame. It may even finally encroach on the "Breaking Bad" timeline. Additionally, we will learn more about Gene.

It will. Here's what's in store for "Better Call Saul" later this month.
