On February 10, Netflix renewed "Sex Education" for a third season. The British drama stars Asa Butterfield as Otis, a socially awkward teen, and Gillian Anderson as his mother, a sex therapist. Otis ends up starting a business giving sex advice to fellow students.

"Sex Education" is a Netflix sensation, with a reported 40 million viewers for its first season. The second season premiered on January 17, 2020, and was so successful that Netflix immediately ordered season three.

Seasons 1 and 2 both premiered in January (2019 and 2020, respectively), so "Sex Education" Season 3 will likely premiere in January 2021.

However, we can see a video announcing Season 3 featuring cast member Alistair Petrie (who plays Groff, principal of Moondale Middle School). Petrie strolls through a gallery of portraits of the show's characters, calls Otis "Bree's exciting wheel," and finally introduces the new couple, Eric and Adam.

Netflix did not officially confirm which cast members will appear in "Sex Education" Season 3, but stars Asa Butterfield and Gillian Anderson will definitely return as Otis Milburn and Dr. Jean F. Milburn Id.

Also returning are Emma McKee as Maeve, Patricia Allison as Ora, Ncuti Gatwa as Eric, Connor Swindells as Adam, Kedar Williams-Stirling as Jackson, Aimee Lou Wood as Amy, Lily The cast of Otis' friends and associates, including Tanya Reynolds as Lily, are also likely to return.

No word yet on whether new cast members will be added to Sex Education Season 3.

Season 3 of Sex Education will likely begin where the series ended. In Season 2, Otis had to deal with his newfound sexuality and navigate his relationship with Ora. His friendship with Maeve was also strained.

By the end of Season 2, Otis and Ola broke up, with Otis declaring his love for Maeve via voicemail. However, her new friend Isaac deleted it before hearing it.

Meanwhile, Jean found out she was pregnant and Eric dumped his French boyfriend for former bully Adam after the latter made a grand gesture during a school play.

In Season 3 of Sex Education, Jean must deal with pregnancy, and Eric and Adam explore the early stages of romance. As for Otis and Maeve, will she find out about the voicemail? And will Otis be able to recover from the embarrassing blunder he made in front of the entire school?
