When the latest Windows10 fails, WiFi speed slows down and sound problems occur: What to do

At this point, hearing about Microsoft's new blunder is like saying water is wet. In its latest blunder, Microsoft has released an update to Windows 10 that is causing sound and Internet problems for many users.

Windows 10 update KB4532695, a non-security update for versions 1903 and 1909, was implemented to fix a bug in the File Explorer search bar that apparently did not work.

Instead, some users suffered from the infamous blue screen of death, while others suffered from Internet and sound glitches, as reported by Windows Latest.

"I installed the update on Saturday afternoon and immediately the sound stopped working," wrote a Microsoft forum user." I rolled back the patch ... No solution. I tried to update the drivers but Windows tells me it does not recognize my speakers."

"Last .

"I did a complete reinstall of Windows last night and nothing happened," they continued.

"It was working perfectly before I installed the patch on Feb. 1."

"I've been trying to get it to work again. Will this be fixed soon? I have followed every advice on every forum and it has not been resolved."

Another user continued.

Another user experienced Wi-Fi speeds "going below 1mb/s" despite having a non-Windows 10 device working properly.

The best way to prevent these potential sound and Wi-Fi issues is to uninstall the update.

To uninstall Windows 10 update KB4532695, go to the Settings app, search for "View Update History" and click "Uninstall Updates."

When the window opens, right-click 'Update for Microsoft Windows (KB4532695)' and click the 'Uninstall' button. A loading bar will pop up, allowing you to check the progress of the uninstallation.

Once it has completed, you will need to restart your computer for the changes to take effect. Ideally, the Internet and audio problems should go away, but if not, you may have another problem altogether.

Hopefully, Microsoft will release another update that addresses the issues in this update, but given its track record, it may cause more problems than it fixes.
