Why did I cancel Disney Plus (and why am I coming back on 8 May)

I recently cancelled my Disney Plus account before the third month. However, thanks to the news that broke yesterday, I found out that I will be reinstating my account from Mothball in August. [I will cancel my Disney Plus cancellation at the end of the summer. That's when "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier" will deliver the next chapter in the Captain America story.

We learned at Disney's earnings call that the service now has over 28 million subscribers.

I will probably keep my account much longer this time. Six episodes of "The Falcon" and "The Winter Soldier" will be over by the time "The Mandalorian" Season 2 arrives in October, right around the time Baby Yoda has his next cup of tea.

And after these eight episodes, WandaVision will drop in December, meaning Disney Plus will have a five-month block of high-profile shows to keep people hooked.

Hopefully, Disney Plus will (should) also add the right format for "The Simpsons" by then.

If you're wondering, I cancelled my Disney Plus subscription because "The Mandalorian" was the only one I really cared about. Of course, I can say that I am morbidly interested in the remake of "The Lion King," but a few weeks after I finished watching "The Mandalorian" and as I kept skipping through the Disney Plus app to open YouTube or watch Netflix shows, I actually Plus, I realized I didn't need it.

Frankly, there just aren't enough hours in the day. I tried to get into Jeff Goldblum's perspective, but it didn't click with me either. I received an email from the Disney Plus media relations team announcing that production on the second season had just begun and would debut in late 2020.
