The leaked Galaxy S20 camera feature will make iPhone owners jealous

Filmic's Doubletake app, which is available for download, uses multiple rear cameras of the iPhone 11 Pro (or iPhone 11, iPhone XS, iPhone XR) simultaneously and lets you choose which part of the recording to use. This is a great idea, but Samsung appears to be introducing a very similar feature that comes standard on the Galaxy S20 series.

The leak comes from Max Weinbach (via GSMArena), who describes the feature, known as "Quick Take," in a tweet embedded below.

However, do not confuse Quick Take with QuickTake: the latter is a feature on Apple's iPhone that allows users to take video by holding down the shutter button in photo mode.

The Single Take photo, which will be available on the S20, is a similar feature that analyzes a scene and takes a photo at the ideal moment according to AI. However, Quick Take is separate, albeit within the S20's camera app.

Multiple cameras are active at once, allowing users to pick their favorite image or images from the same moment without having to quickly switch options in the camera app. This also works with video, called "Director's View," which allows users to record from multiple available lenses and then easily edit between pieces of footage or from wide shots to telephoto shots.

No doubt Samsung-loving photographers and videographers are drooling at the mere thought of this.

With a main camera of up to 108 MP, a 48 MP 10x optical zoom telephoto camera, and a 44 MP ultra-wide sensor, the S20 Ultra is a significant improvement over the Galaxy S10 and will be a serious competitor to the iPhone 11 Pro. Combined with other modes such as Quick Take feature, Director's View, and Pro Photo/Video, the Galaxy S20 could very well be the best camera phone available.
