Adam Sandler is about to follow through on his promise/threat to make more "bad movies" if he doesn't get an Oscar nomination for his performance in Uncut Gems.

Netflix announced that it has ordered four more films from Sandler's Happy Madison Productions, extending an agreement that has already provided the streaming service with five films and a stand-up special.

These five films ("Murder Mystery," "The Ridiculous 6," "The Week Of," "Sandy Wexler," and "The Do-Over") are not on Netflix's best films list, but apparently are very popular with Netflix viewers are very popular.

The streaming service revealed that subscribers have spent more than 2 billion hours watching Sandler's films, with a "B" for "1 billion hours.

Netflix also said that last year's "Murder Mystery" was the service's most popular title not only in the U.S. but also in eight other countries. And 83 million households chose to watch "Murder Mystery" in the first four weeks of its release.

(This "chose to watch" statistic is something Netflix recently started throwing around. Basically, if you watch a show for two minutes, it counts as "watching.")

Sandler and Happy Madison first signed with Netflix in 2014 and re-signed in 2017. He currently has two Netflix projects in the works: the family film Hubie Halloween and an untitled animated film he will write and star in.

"Whether you know him as Sandman, Waterboy, Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, Nick Spitz, or simply Adam, one thing is clear: our members cannot get enough of him." said Ted Sarandos, chief content officer of Netflix. We're not going to be able to enjoy him enough," said Ted Sarandos, chief content officer of Netflix. As we saw in Murder Mystery, they love his stories and his humor." So we couldn't be more excited to expand our partnership with Adam and the Happy Madison team to bring more laughs to the world"

.

The actor recently appeared in "Uncut Gems" to rave reviews. The film was not produced under the Netflix deal, but appeared on the streaming service in the U.S. in May and is already available in some international territories.

When promoting "Uncut Gems," Sandler joked that if he did not receive an Oscar nomination, "I'm going to do another film that's intentionally terrible just to make everyone pay for it. That's how I'm going to win it."

Oh, he did win.
