Apple's Powerbeats4 has been leaked with the new iOS13 update

Apple leaks can come from deep in the supply chain, from insiders and analysts with good sources, or from Apple itself.

In the latest iOS 13.3.1 software update, an icon for what appears to be the Powerbeats 4 wireless headphones was spotted; as reported by Macrumors, the Powerbeats 4 is the same model as the Powerbeats Pro wireless earphones ( curved design) and the Powerbeats 3 appear to be a cross between the Powerbeats Pro and the Powerbeats 3.

Like the Powerbeats 3, the Powerbeats 4's icon has a wire hanging from it. However, it appears that a pleasant upgrade is on the way.

One of the features of the new Powerbeats 4 is Hey, Siri support. It should also be possible to seamlessly pair the Powerbeats 4 with an iPhone via Apple's H1 chip to announce incoming messages.

Other Powerbeats 3 features expected to carry over to the Powerbeats 4 include sweat and water resistance and 12-hour battery life; since the Powerbeats 3 charges via microUSB, Apple will move to Lightning or USB-C would be reasonable to assume.

The current price of the Powerbeats 3 earbuds is $199, so it is reasonable to expect the Powerbeats 4 to be in the same price range.

Apple is also expected to release the Powerbeats 4 in the same price range.

Apple may decide to launch the Powerbeats 4 in time for the iPhone SE 2/iPhone 9 release this March, but we see no reason to wait at this time.
