The Galaxy Note20 leaks before the Galaxy S20 comes out

Now that the leaks about Samsung's Galaxy S20 have run their course and a new flagship is about to be announced in two weeks, it is now the Galaxy Note 20's turn to join the usual parade of rumors. This is the first (purported) leak about Samsung's next flagship phablet. This is exhausting.

This image, published in a Weibo post unearthed by Gizmochina, appears to be a CAD schematic of the Galaxy Note 20's body.

The design is simple, but suggests that Samsung is going in the same direction as the Galaxy S20. There is a huge opening at the top for the camera module, which will probably be similar to Samsung's Galaxy S20 and S20 Ultra.

CAD drawings show openings for ports (obviously USB Type-C) and holes for the S Pen, speaker, and microphone.

On the side there are holes for buttons. The smaller one is for power, and the longer one is probably for the volume keys.

This alleged CAD schematic leak (if true) tells us two more interesting things: first, like the Galaxy S20, the successor to the Galaxy Note 10 will jump 10 numbers forward and be called the Note 20.

The second is that the Note is not dead yet. Last year, a very persistent rumor said that Samsung was going to kill the Note line because it was too similar to the S except for S-Pen support. While it is true that the resemblance is extreme, it appears that Samsung is not ready to kill the Note just yet.

Perhaps that will happen once the Galaxy Fold matures and has a stylus. Such a Fold would be a natural successor to the Note and is quite different when compared to both the Galaxy S and Galaxy Z Flip.
