Galaxy S20Ultra and Z Flip Price Leaked — hope you're saving

Of the phones Samsung is expected to unveil at its Galaxy S20 Unpacked event, the Galaxy S20 Ultra and Galaxy Z Flip are generating the most excitement.

The S20 Ultra is expected to feature a huge 6.9-inch display and a 100x space zoom camera, while the Galaxy Z Flip is expected to be a foldable flip phone like Motorola's new Razr. And now, in the form of a tweet from Max Weinbach, who has revealed a lot of information about Samsung over the past few weeks, the price and release date for both devices may be revealed.

Weinbach claims that the Galaxy S20 Ultra will be priced at $1,300 (£998 equivalent), which is similar to previous rumors and in line with the Galaxy S10 5G launch price, but still eye-wateringly high.

According to Weinbach, the S20 series will launch on "the first Friday in March," or March 6. This is a little over three weeks after the Galaxy Unpacked event on February 11.

The S20 series also comes pre-installed with a screen protector and is IP68 rated to a depth of 5 meters. While most users will never need this level of protection, it is still good to know that your phone is safe from being soaked in the sink.

In other pricing news, the Galaxy Z Flip foldable, which is expected to debut around the same time as the S20 series, will cost $1,400 (£1,074 equivalent), Weinbach said. It will also be available in an unlocked version, which may be an AT&T exclusive, although this may be for a limited time.

The Galaxy Z Flip is very expensive at $1,400, but will be cheaper than the $1,500 Motorola Razr, which is already on backorder from Verizon; the Razr is scheduled to hit store shelves on February 6. [Weinbach tweets that the Galaxy Z Flip will be available on February 14, so Motorola only has about a week left before Samsung enters the foldable flip phone market and tries to undercut the Razr.

Besides the phone, Samsung's new Galaxy Buds Plus is priced at $149.99 (£115 equivalent); Weinbach also said that the Buds are not active noise cancelling like the AirPods Pro, He also reaffirms that they will only feature active noise isolation. However, the battery life of the Galaxy Buds Plus is said to be double that of the original Galaxy Buds.

It's only been two weeks since Samsung's event, but there are already tons of leaked information about the S20. If you haven't kept up with the leaks, check out our Galaxy S20 rumors page.
