Galaxy Z Flip Leak Can Spell Great Trouble for Motorola Razr

The Galaxy Z Flip is only a few weeks away from its scheduled release date, but the leaks continue to pour in. Today's leaks include a number of small but interesting features that make the Z Flip a worthy competitor to the Motorola Razr.

Max Weinbach has somehow not run out of things to say about the Z Flip, despite the many leaks he has already provided, revealing the following information in a new series of tweets. There is a good chance we will see these specs in the final model, as he has proven to be quite reliable in the past.

First, the Z Flip will have a capacitive fingerprint sensor on the side. This was used by the Galaxy Fold, and given the difficulty of implementing a flexible display as is, we did not expect Samsung to add an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

The cameras will be a pair of 12MP sensors, one wide and one ultra-wide. This is consistent with other leaked information, but if the second camera is meant to be a built-in selfie camera, it would be contradictory, as other rumors said it would be the usual 10MP sensor that Samsung uses for this purpose.

The display will be an AMOLED model with "Samsung ultra-thin glass." We heard about this from another leak in late 2019. At the time, this display was said to reduce screen wrinkles due to the folding mechanism, but according to Weinbach, the wrinkles will still remain.

The front display not only shows key information such as battery and charging status, but can also be used as a viewfinder for the rear camera; Weinbach said he had heard that this display was a 0.1-inch model, but this was a typo and he believes it is actually a 1-inch model. is actually a 1-inch model. This makes much more sense given the rectangular cutout in the leaks and renderings we have seen previously.

Inside the Z Flip, the processor is said to be the Snapdragon 855 Plus. While not the latest Snapdragon 865, this is an enhanced version of the 855 and will be powerful enough; given that the Razr uses the less powerful Snapdragon 710, this is a good place for Samsung to push its advantage.

On the battery side, there is wireless and reverse wireless charging in addition to 15W wired charging. Since these features were also used in the Galaxy Fold, we expect this to be a more user-friendly sequel. the size of the battery in the Z Flip is still unknown, but we hope it is large enough to serve as a small power bank for other wireless charging accessories. We hope it will be large enough to serve as a small power bank for other wireless charging accessories.
