Here's how the Galaxy S20Ultra stands above the others

Following the Galaxy S20 rumors, it seems that Samsung will introduce three next flagship models: the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus, and Galaxy S20 Ultra. Ultra is likely to be the best phone of the year, but we've learned one more thing that seems to be Ultra.

According to a tweet from Max Weinbach of XDA Developers, the Galaxy S20 Ultra will be made of stainless steel like the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max. Weinbach is presumably referring to the outer band that surrounds the phone.

The use of stainless steel instead of aluminum for a more luxurious feel may be one of the new ways Samsung will differentiate the Galaxy S20 Ultra from the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20 Plus. The stainless steel may also make the Ultra more durable and less susceptible to damage from drops and scratches.

We know what you're thinking. Will steel make the Galaxy S20 Ultra heavier? That's a legitimate concern, especially since the Ultra is supposed to have a huge 6.9-inch display. (The iPhone 11 Pro Max is 6.5 inches.) But in a subsequent tweet, Weinbach wrote that it is "actually slightly smaller than the 11 pro max."

The Galaxy S20 Ultra will strive to live up to its name in other ways as well: in addition to the 6.9-inch display, the S20 Ultra will reportedly boast a 108MP main camera with a whopping 10x optical zoom. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S20 and 20 Plus will both feature 64MP cameras and offer 3x optical zoom.

Also, the S20 Ultra will likely have the largest battery, with leaked information claiming a 5,000mAh battery; the S20 will have a 4,000mAh battery and the S20 Plus will have a 4,500mAh battery.

Last but not least, the S20 Ultra should come standard with 5G connectivity, while the Galaxy S20 and S20 Plus are rumored to come standard with 4G, with an optional 5G model for those seeking the fastest wireless speeds.
