Facebook really, really, really wants you to try its virtual reality headset, so it has decided to lower the price of the Oculus Go to $149.

The company has made the price cut permanent, taking $50 off the latest recommended price for the virtual reality headset.

The Oculus Go is essentially a Wi-Fi-only phone that attaches to the face. But according to our 4-star Oculus Go review, it's a good one. Our verdict: "The Oculus Go offers cordless, all-in-one VR for under $200, with an extensive catalog of apps and games.

So it's hard (or a little hard) not to get it for even a dollar less than the psychological grand total of $150; according to Oculus VR's parent company, this price is for the 32GB model.

The 64GB Oculus Go has also been reduced from $249 to just $199, and Oculus Go claims that it "receives an equivalent discount in all countries where the Go is available."
