We just reviewed and loved the original HP Elite Dragonfly, and at CES 2020, HP took it even further. The company unveiled the Dragonfly G2, which features 5G wireless connectivity as its most important feature.

This wasn't the only new hardware HP unveiled at CES; the HP Spectre x360 15 also got a slimmer makeover and a 10th generation Intel CPU (which is also featured in the Dragonfly G2). The HP Envy 32 All-in-One desktop was also announced, with a beautiful redesign and integrated wireless charging.

What could make one of the best laptops even better? The Elite Dragonfly G2 upgrades its predecessor's 4G connectivity by adding optional 5G.

And while the Dragonfly G2 is the same shape, size, and weight as its predecessor, HP has also added optional built-in Tile tracking. This allows users to use the Tile app on their phones to get a rough location in case they misplace their laptop; the 5G model will be available this summer, and the Tile-enhanced model will be available next month (February 2020).

iPhone owners are familiar with this kind of trick thanks to Apple's "Find My" app. Not only can you remotely ping the Dragonfly G2 to make it ring (which I do when I don't know where the phone is in my house), but you can also see its exact location as long as it is within Bluetooth range (a few hundred feet).

In other words, since the Dragonfly G2 is also part of the Tile network, it will update its location information as other people's Tile-connected devices come within range.

HP continues to offer 4-cell and 2-cell battery options, the latter making the machine lighter and the former lasting much longer; HP says that while the first-generation Dragonfly recorded 12:25 in a Wi-Fi-based web surfing battery test, this notebook announced that it lasts up to 24 hours.

The new Dragonfly is powered by a 10th generation Intel Core i3, i5, or i7 CPU (an upgrade from the previous model's 8th generation chip), up to 16GB of RAM, and up to 2TB of PCIe SSD storage. As for the display, there are three options: a 400-nit 1080p touchscreen, a 550-nit 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels) panel, or a 1000-nit display with HP's Sure View privacy screen.

As for ports, there are dual Thunderbolt USB Type-C ports with Power Delivery 3.0, a USB 3.1 port, a headphone/microphone combo jack, and HDMI 1.4.

The new Spectre x360 15 (available in March, starting at $1,599) is 13% smaller than the previous generation; by shrinking the 2019 model's bezels (90% screen-to-body ratio), HP is able to fit a 15-inch screen in a chassis that looks like a 14-inch laptop to date to be able to do so.

And don't worry about the convertible's battery life: HP promises up to 17 hours of battery life, the longest of any 4K notebook HP uses energy-efficient display technology.

The Spectre x360 15 is powered by the latest Nvidia GPU and 10th generation Intel Core i7 processor. It also offers optional OLED and anti-glare OLED customization.

The HP Envy 32 All-in-One (available now, starting at $1,599) offers a sleek chassis with a 9th generation Intel Core i7 processor and optional Nvidia graphics.

Not only is its display nearly all screen, except for a smallish bezel and heathered acoustic fabric speakers, but its wood-grained base offers wireless Qi charging. another favorite of the Envy 32 AIO is that you choose to install a webcam The privacy adjustment that prevents the webcam from seeing you unless you choose to install a webcam. There is a trapezoidal bay at the top of the enclosure that pops out like a periscope when pushed down.

At a private media event, I heard the Envy 32's powerful speakers play a few pop hits in a crowded room at high volume HP has named the speakers at the bottom of the screen the "Advanced Audio Stream," and they are composed of Bang & Olufsen's tuned front-facing tweeter and subwoofer speakers as the core components.

This all-in-one comes with up to 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD. Ports include two USB-A 3.1, one Thunderbolt 3, one USB-C 3.1, one USB-A 3.1, headphone/microphone combo jack, HDMI output/input, Ethernet, and 3-in-1 media card with SD, SDHC, and SDXC support.
