Forget the Galaxy Z Fold3 — The concept of this Google Pixel Fold looks incredible

Concepts and ideas continue to flood the Internet about the rumored Google Pixel Fold, and this latest video shows what it could be. If the final end product is anything close to this rendering, it would be a dream come true.

YouTuber Waqar Khan shows off the concept Pixel Fold from all angles in a new video, which is based on the Pixel 5 design and looks familiar with the same camera array on the back and similar texture. The display folds inward like the Galaxy Z Fold 2, with an external display in normal phone mode.

Google has said nothing about plans for a foldable smartphone, but we keep hearing whispers about it. Khan's concept also shows a cutout of a front camera with a hole in it, as seen on the Pixel 5.

It looks a bit chunky in these renderings, but that's not too surprising given that the Pixel Fold will be Google's first foray into folding. It may not be as elegant or slim as the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 3, but Google is not usually at the forefront of pushing the latest and greatest when it comes to hardware.

As for colors, the video shows black, the Sorta Sage option for the Pixel 5, and a white colorway. While we like the Sorta Sage Pixel 5, Google does not typically repeat color options on its phones.

Needless to say, this entire video is wishful thinking to varying degrees, but we hope to hear more about Google's hardware plans in the coming months; we'll hear more about the Pixel 5a soon, but we're not sure what Google will do with the Pixel 6 and we suspect that they will discuss this foldable possibility when they announce the Pixel 6a. Until then, we will have to get by on rumors and leaks.
